A Great Gift For Your Special Cook
This year I vowed to avoid the holiday buying craze and keep my shopping to the lowest degree possible. I really do not like the entire commercial aspect of Christmas according to the traditional modern day,so aspects of how far I can go in debt. I actually hate it! That does not mean that I am a SCROOGE because that is by far the case. I just do not enjoy buying neckties and wallets because I have no idea what to get for Uncle Ed who does not need another damn thing.
So, I have already taken care of my Holiday Splurge of cash output. I am finished with shopping and It is cold and rainy. I was reading here on HubPages trying to catch up on all the GREAT hubs I have missed over the past few months. That is when the light bulb flashed in my head. Not that I am going to do it today but, I thought of this wonderful idea for a simple but worthy gift anyone could create for a special COOK you know. That is when I decided to write this hub and share my idea. So here it is.
Hub Pages Are Jam Packed With All Kinds Of Recipes
It was the Corn Soup Recipe that stirred the thought. I have a friend who loves to cook, grill food, grow a garden and prepare specialty foods to share with his friends and family. I was reading on HubPages and came across a Hubber who I had not read before. I decided to read several of her hubs and that is when it came to me.
It would be a great idea to gather recipes from the HubPages and put them together for someone I know who likes to cook. I am not talking about writing a book or anything like that. I am talking about gathering the Hubs that are representative of some foods that the SPECIAL COOK I KNOW would love to try.
I think it might be best to ask permission to reproduce any hubs that you would pick but I feel that most Hubbers would welcome sharing their expertise. The Hubs are published with the intention of sharing, RIGHT? Be courteous and show respect to the Authors and shoot them an email asking their permission. That is the right thing to do.

Catigorize Your Recipes To Suit That Special Cook
Right here on HubPages you can find anything from soup to nuts, caviar to casserole, sugar laden to sugar free. If you have spent any time at all reading these pages you know exactly what I am talking about. If not, then you best get busy and take a look for yourself. You will be amazed at all there is to offer.
My thought is to put together recipes the cook you are targeting would use and enjoy. Let's say for example that they really love to cook on the grill. Okay start looking at all those fantastic hubs written just about grilling. You will be in awe at how many recipes you will find. You could break them down in to sections, beef, fish, vegetables and so on, depending on your target of course.
Maybe baking is the favorite cooking method for your Special Cook. Look through the HubPages and you will be sure to find all kinds of items that can be baked to order. It does not have to be sweet fare. There are many articles about one dish meals, speed cooking to save time and the number of recipes seems endless..
You can find recipes for sugar free foods, special diet foods and so much more to make up your recipe gift book. Then there is the matter of presenting the material in a compact, maybe decorative fashion. Don't be shy. I am sure you can find many ways to present the recipes in other Hubs that have been written here on HubPages. Take a look at the ideas I have offered as proof that you can find everything you need in the way of guidance for your presentation. To keep it personal add a touch of your own creativity into your finished product, add an opening theme page with photos of your favorite cook or a message of love and care. You could expound on the joys you have shared eating food your cook has made or make up a little poetry that honors your cook. Whatever you do to present the recipes try hard to make it personally directed toward the recipient. That will insure a big hit with this thoughtfully crafted gift..
Search the HubPages by keywords for whatever your recipe choices might be. Please Don't Forget To Ask Permission to copy by sending an email to the Author.
Just A Thought
I had this thought before I published this hub but then I shook my head NO and did not include it here.
I later (3hours) came back to my computer and logged in to my HubPages account. I was very surprised to see that there were 3 comments for this new Hub. I read the comments and commented back and this idea came to me again. NO NO NO i shook my head, then I just could not help myself. So I am going to toss it out here and leave to the RECIPE WRITERS. Here Goes..

My mind went BINGO when the idea hit me, looks like it might be a good one from your responses. Thanks for looking in and reading here and Thanks for the positive feedback too. Best Wishes to all of you. C.S.
The idea of selling a cook book with the profits going to the hungry is fabulous. I love that idea. The cook books is also a great homemade gift for foody. Wonderful hub.
Let me know if you intend to publish one with proceeds going to the hungry and needy. Am sure that many people who have not even submitted recipes (yet) would be happy to do so for a project like that.
I know a person that gathered old family recipes and would bind them and present them to new members marrying into their family. Nice idea!
Great thought I wish you a success. I am a lousy cook :) but have a website that has free ebooks on literature http://www.cmadras.com
Great idea, specially when you have the added bonus of helping children around the globe.
Best Wishes for the New Year!
That is a good idea:)
