Shoofly Pie

Tired of buying same old pies and want something a little different ? Easy ,delicious and should be called 'Never forget pie' make this easy Classic Shoofly Pie for Thanksgiving ,or anytime!

Shoo-fly Pie is a classic molasses pie inspired and created by the Pennsylvanian Dutch German, originally made by the Amish to attract the flies and keep them away from the many other thanksgiving pies cooling on the window sill. Hence the name 'Shoo fly" and a new pie was created.

Eventually Classic Shoo-fly Pie was given a greater honour and took its place among the more commonly known pie desserts and quickly became a Thanksgiving favourite.

How To Make Classic Shoofly Pie For Thanksgiving has stepped up for the modern housewife and officially also recognised by the Pennsylvanian Tourism Board featuring Shoo Fly Pie as their state 2009 campaign pie.

Not bad for a delectable pie, from humble beginnings. I first tasted this classic pie for thanksgiving, when I was in Pennsylvania and also made Shoo Fly Pie when I returned to New Zealand. One for my family ,and a second pie to give as gift to my neighbor. Everyone remembers the warm ,delicious , flavorful dessert fondly!

So what are you  waiting for , lets go make a memory

I have been truly busy sooo used my imposed, exile to good effect. But ya can't exile me really anyway, because I too am a Kiwi, tenacious as the mighty pongas that grow apon our hills. I've turned to Poetry, like Hell. But that sounded good. Well got the oven primed ready to see just How good your pie is. Arohanui
