I'm a stay-at-home mom and I am always looking for ways to make extra cash from home. There are so many scams out there, it's hard to know where to turn for legitimate opportunities. I needed a job (or jobs) that didn't have a set schedule, could be done or not done on a moment's notice, and paid something worth my time. I didn't want to have to leave my house or deal with babysitters. So, over the last ten years I have compiled a list of websites I check for jobs and sometimes I actually find something.

Hubpages: Obviously, the more you post here, the higher your chances of earning passive income. I work hard enough for my family, I don't have time to kill myself to make extra money. I started publishing here in April, but then I took a 5 month break because I was terribly busy and kind of forgot about it. Then, a few days ago I started publishing again. I think they're pretty good posts, but I am always open to constructuve criticism! Anyway, I've made about $12.00 so far. Not much, but I love to write and hopefully this number will only increase as time goes on.

ChaCha: I found a site called www.ChaCha.com. It's a human search engine for people on the go. You text or call in your question (how can I get from the First street to 10th and Western kind of thing, and any other question under the sun!) and there are Guides who answer these questions from a web-based environment. I am not a Guide, I am an Expeditor. I categorize the incoming questions and send them on to a Guide. The Expediting role pays $.03 per question, but it averages $4-7 an hour. The Guide role pays $.10-.20 per question. Check their website to see if they're hiring at this time.

Telecommuting Jobs: I have been a member of this website www.tjobs.com for at least 10 years. I occasionally apply for jobs here, and they are legitimate. Sometimes you need to register ($15.00 per year) to actually apply for some jobs. Most of these don't fit what I'm looking for (no committment or schedule), but you never know so I continue to check.

Work-At-Home-Mom: www.wahm.com is another great site that I check every day for new opportunities. My mom will be looking for part-time work when she retires and I check here for her also. Part of a larger site with good information.

Of course, there is always Ebay, Craigslist and garage sales, but with Ebay and Paypal raising their fees, it's hard to make any money. I also get annoyed by storing and shipping items. These are not consistent ways to make money. Right now, my most consistent money-maker is ChaCha. Sometimes I check www.monster.com and www.careerbuilder.com but it takes a lot of time to sift through the scams. That's time I could be CaChai-ing!
