Halloween Spider Web Decorations

Spider webs are-always associated with Halloween, haunted houses and erm spiderman. Spider webs are also known as Cobwebs and are one of the most detailed time consuming natural phenomenas that exists but this one is just for fun. So here for this coming Halloween week why not have fun with your kids making your own spider webs with this easy how-to guide showing two ways how you can make spider webs.

What You Need For Window Spider Webs

White PVA / Craft Glue with a nozzle (pencil thick nozzle)

Cling Film / Plastic Wrap

This is the easiest way to make a spider web that tou can stick on your window or even in the car,

1. Lay out a sheet of Cling film/ Plastic wrap the size you want your web to be, try to keep it square.

2. Find a picture of a spider web, you can even use the one in this hub as a guide to now draw with the nozzle PVA glue a spider web making sure your putting it on in thick lines so its 3D if you like.

3. Once you're happy with this design wait for the glue to dry and go squidgy rather than sticky to the touch.

4. Now CAREFULLY peel off the glue web from the film/wrap and you should now have a perfect spiders web which will cling to glass and look Great!

Alternatives

  • Use glow in the dark carft glue, looks very cool.

What You Need For Corner Spider Webs

White cotton needle thread

Cotton wool balls or make up cotton or Angel hair

A Pen and Paper

This one is good for hanging on ceiling corners with blue-tac or tape but it is great for trees and furniture too.

1. Draw the outline of your web on a piece of paper, again use a picture as a guide. The size of the picture should be the size you want your web.

2. Now starts laying the cotton thread along the outline. whenever the pieces of cotton should cross over weve them together once and then knot.

3. You should now have a pretty basic web which you could use as it is but adding fluffy cotton wool strands or angel hair will make it look much better.

Alternatives

  • Use black or even green thread and then food dye your cotton wool for variations.
