54How To Get Started Marketing Products On ClickBank
Step #1 - Go to ClickBank.comand sign Up For A Free Account
Make sure you store your password and user name in a safe place, because if you happen to lose it you're going to have to set up a new account.
Next, log in to your ClickBank account and go to marketplace. Here you can search through thousands of products.
Find A Product
There's 9 categories to choose from. I recommend finding a product that you can believe in, because it's going to be very hard to sell something you don't even believe in.

For example, the Maverick Money Makers pitch
page has big names like NBC, CNN, and FOX up top backing them up.
You know this product has to be legit if it's been featured on these
television shows. This would be a good product to promote...
Another good way to know if it's a good
sales page is when they have one of those live chat boxes that pop up
when you try to leave. This has been known to increase sales
conversions by up to 300% and Maverick Money Makers has one!
One
more thing you could look for when you're choosing a product to promote
is when they have those information boxes where you have to fill in
your name and email address to get more information aka. and "opt in" box.
With an opt in box the business will be able to continue marketing to potential customers in their email
newsletters which gives you, the affiliate marketer, a greater chance of
earning that commission.
Step #4 - Create A Hoplink
This
is the link they give to promote their sales page. It has your login
name in it, so when people buy that product through your link you get
credit for the sale.
Click "create a hoplink" and type in your user name and hit 'create'. Don't worry about the optional tracking link. It's not important right now.
You'll get two links like this:
http://username.productname.hop.clickbank.net/
<a href="http://username.productname.hop.clickbank.net/"
target="_top">Click Here!</a>
Highlight
and copy the first one. The second one just makes the link say 'Click
Here' (you would use this when you're writing articles, writing in forums, or in your blog.
You might as well copy and paste both links in an email and send it to yourself so you don't forget them.
Step #5 - Get a Domain
The
reason you have to get a domain is because nobody likes clicking on a
long, ugly links like the one they give you. It's also very un-professional.
You're options are to
either to buy a domain from godaddy.com ($9/ per year) or use a free
service like budurl.com or tinyurl.com
BudURL.com is my favorite
because you can track how many clicks you get through your link. Just sign
up for a free account and enter that first long URL that ClickBank gives
you and click 'Shrink It' ...
Now that long url that looked like this:
http://username.productname.hop.clickbank.net/
...will look like this:
http://budurl.com/rf7v
You can also create a custom alias instead of rf7v if you want.
When
creating a domain name, what you want to do is have one of the
"keywords" in the domain name. Ask yourself what people are searching for when they are looking for your product.
If you chose something like Mavericks Money
Makers the keyword would probably be something like make "money from home", "make
money online", or something along those lines.
You should do keyword research to search for what people are
searching for when they're looking for a product like the one you're offering. Google has a keyword tool that you can use free. Just go to Google and
type "keyword tool".
Send me an email if you're thinking of buying
a domain name. You want to make sure you're buying the right
domain name, so I'll send you a free report on choosing domain names.

You might also want to pick something that you could write or talk easily about. If you can't find something like that don't worry because there's lots of resources out there to learn from that will give you something to write/ talk about.
For example, if you want to learn about something just go to www.about.com and go to the bottom where it says Site Map. Click it and you'll find just about everything you're looking for.
Step #2 - Choose a category
When you search for a product in whichever category it automatically searches by popularity. The results will be listed from top to bottom with the one at the top being the most popular.
This kind of what you'll see when you search for a product:
$/sale: $37.90 | Future $: $56.19 | Total $/sale: $92.13 | %/sale: 50.0% | %refd: 87.0% | grav: 710.12
What you want to look for is the grav: which is all the way to the right there. Grav stands for gravity and the higher the gravity the more sales are being made with that particular product.
After you find a product that has a high gravity then you can look at the $'s you get per sale :-)
Step #3 - Check out the "Pitch Page" aka Sales Page
This is the link right beside the 'create hoplink' link. Explaining what makes a good sales page is a whole lesson in it's self, but if you stick to the products with a high gravity you'll at least know that the sales pages are converting.
Couple of things you want to look for in a sales page...
