How To Make Money Buying And Selling Jewelry
69Buying and Selling Jewelry
Buying and selling jewelry can pay out very well if you know what you are doing, but since you are reading this hub, you don't.
This hub will help you learn to buy and sell jewelry for a profit!
Many Different Types
Like any product in the resale industry there are many different types of jewelry.
There's gold, sterling, costume jewelry, diamonds, and a lot more!
Of course all gold and sterling and diamonds are worth something, but costume jewelry is something you have to learn. Research the market. Look on eBay and other websites that sell used jewelry.
Research and learn not only good brands, but how to tell if they are real! You need to know how to tell fake gold from real gold, fake diamonds from real diamonds, and so on.
Where To Buy
You can buy used jewelry from many different places.
Pawn shops are going to want top dollar so stay away from them!
Garage sales are a great place to find jewelry. Many times you can find large lots of jewelry at a garage sale and offer to buy it all for one low price.
Estate sales are even better, if the stuff did not belong to them they are probably more willing to sell it and they may not realize that it is worth a lot of money!
Sometimes you can find good deals online. Every now and then people get a good bit of jewelry really cheap on eBay just because no one else happened to bid on it.
Your local newspaper should have for sale ads and you should see some ads for jewelry but they may or may not know what it is, so you'll have to know wether or not it's any good!
There are probably more resources for buying jewelry in your area, depending on where you live. Search around online and offline.
Selling Jewelry
You can take your jewelry to a pawn shop, but they may not pay very high and of course they will try to rip you off or scam you especially if you don't know what the stuff is worth!
There are several online websites that buy jewelry, but again they may not pay as high as you want.
eBay is a great resource for selling jewelry, just make sure that you know for sure that your stuff is real. You will get yourself into some trouble if you sell diamond jewelry that isn't real or gold or sterling for that matter.
The Key
Of course the key to buying and selling is to buy low and sell high.
The whole point is to make money!
Try to find the best deals you can get, and figure out where you can get the most money when you sell it. eBay is probably the best place to sell your jewelry.
Once you learn the ropes, this can be a high profit part time or even full time job!
