There is no doubt that you would like for your Google ads to sell potential customers on purchasing your product. The words you use in your Google ad is much more critical than you will ever know. Most people in our society are seeking to get their problems resolved. One good example of this is that if you were selling a registry cleaner. People would like to know whether or not your registry cleaner will remove all the adware or spyware from their computers. They would also like to know all its features, and they would like to know the price. The big challenge for you as a marketer is managing your limited ad space. When dealing with Google ads, your headline has to be less than 25 characters, and the body has to be under 35 characters. Therefore, your ad has to be clear, simple and relevant.

The headline should always contain the exact keywords on which you have bidded. This means that if you were to bid on the keyword phrase "slow computer", then your headline should contain these words. An example is something like "Solve Your Slow Computer" or "Why Your Computer Is Slow". Many marketers make a big mistake by writing a headline such as "Get Spy Doctor Now", but you should be aware that people who search for "slow computer" will want to find information first and not a product review. Do not forget that your Google ad has to be relevant to what people really want. If your potential customer feels that your ad is relevant, then they will click your ad, and your CTR will go up.

After creating your headline, you still have two lines on which to convince your potential customer. The best way to approach this is to pretend that you are searching for the product. So if you were searching for something to buy, what would you want to know next? You would want to know about the product features and whether or not it can fill your needs. So your second line in the ad should be all about the benefits. And if you are selling that registry cleaner, you should provide information in the second line about how effectively the registry cleaner will remove the virus. You could try something like "Speed Up Your PC & Stop Crashes" or "Safely improve PC performance" to let people know about what your product has to offer. Thus, the second line of your ads will need to inform your potential customers just how much they would actually benefit by what you have written.

The last line in your ad should emphasize your offer or price. If you are selling an Amazon product for example, you can list something like "For Only $199 - Free Shipping". Just keep everything simple, and do not include any call to action phrase here.

In conclusion, a good ad needs to be clear, straightforward, interesting, customer-centered, and most importantly, relevant. Selling on the internet is just like selling in person. People will see that you are doing real business, and they will click and buy.
