Day 44- Manifesting A "Lean, Mean, Money Makin' Machine"
Here is what I have noticed regarding my experiment in manifesting:
1) I am somewhat 'iffy' on noticing
negative thoughts and shifting them. I do tend to notice negative
weight thoughts and shift them. However a lot of my life is lived in
'the frantic zone'- trying to rush here and there, exhausted and
worried about all the plates that I can't keep in the air. So the very
backdrop or environment for my life is the exact opposite of living in
the now, in the flow of the universe and enjoying each moment of life.
If this is the context for my life, it is probably natural that I will
not manifest what I want.
2) I am also not noticing and
appreciating the good things I see that I want- as I promised I would.
Since I am running and taking little time to breathe, how could I
possibly be noticing
and appreciating life.I do not, as promised, look at the
picture of myself thin every morning and night. I forget or decide I am
too tired or it wont make a difference. All very non-power of
attraction thoughts.

It is little wonder then that It is day 44 and I weigh exactly the same as I did when I began. On the bright side, I went from $3.12 to $10 in my savings account, and I have signed my daughter up for gymnastics and been able to pay for that! I also was able to pay the upfront costs for a side business that I love called Sendoutcards. I have been talking to my coach on vacation in Hawaii, who lives off the business and travels frequently- so I have great expectations for the money side of things.
My remedy
1)
I have signed up for a meet-up group about the law of attraction. I
will go to that group and see what I can learn from others- as well as
how I can build a like-minded community to help me in my goals. Learn what they really mean by the term "Living in the vortex."
2) I will get the literature or tapes that are studied by the group and begin to study them.
3)
I will take moments in my life to breathe and appreciate where I am,
what I have, and all that is around me- including what I intend to have
and how I intend to look.
4) I recommit to my original promise
to a) look at my pictures and meditate on them daily- putting myself
into the feel of being thin and having money b) look in the world for
things that appeal to me, including the kind of body I intend to have.
Appreciate them all. c) Look at myself in the mirror and appreciate me,
exactly how I am now. d) Take time to enjoy my food and mealtimes.

Day 1- Manifesting a "Lean, Mean, Money Makin' Machine"
I have been thinking a lot recently about manifesting- and our power as humans to create anything. And I have considered literally 'putting my money where my mouth is' and trying out my theories in full view of the world. In essence I am thinking to shift my very words and thoughts around money and weight- and create a public experiment in manifesting where I take on two target areas of concern for me- my weight and my financial life.
As I was thinking this, I began to back out of the idea. "Do I really have the courage to do it?" I thought. " Can I put myself as guinea pig out to the world for experimentation? And what if I fail? What will they think of me and all of my 'high fallutin' ideas? Will they ever listen to me or respect me again"
Then just as quickly I said to myself "Cancel those negative thoughts" and replace them with the excitement of traveling those 'uncharted waters.' Because the universe will act on your fears, and not on your dreams, if that is where you put your thoughts and your energy.
Here is my premise...The physical universe, including our bodies and the things that happen to us, are completely at the mercy of our thoughts, feelings, and energy. This is true whether we are thinking positive or negative. What we think, feel, and believe will become reality in physical space, time, and form.
So here is my experiment:
I am about 33 pounds over my goal weight, and I have about $3.12 in savings. I also have about $16,597 in accumulated debt from when I did not have a sufficient paying job. I state to the univers that in 6 months time I will have lost all 33 pounds and have a healthy, lean body and I will have paid off all of my debt, and also have $10,000 in the bank. And I will have done this through the power of manifestation.
To monitor this I promise that over the next 6 months between now and March 24, 2010 (approximately 181 days) I will post as often as possible a diary of what I am doing,and my progress and successes, as well as any set-backs.I will tell you how much money I have in the bank, how much debt I have paid off, and how much weight I have lost.
Here is my process of manifestation.
Everyday and night I will look at pictures of myself when I was thin, and of things that I equate with wealth. I will meditate on them- putting myself in a 'feeling place' as if I have them already. In addition I will notice my thoughts all day and whenever I have a negative thought particularly about weight or money-I will immediately cancel it out loud or in my head, Then I will replace it with a positive thought. I will look in the world and appreciate the goodness of all that I see that is wealthy or physically healthy, and notice bodies that I would like to have. Then, if the setting allows, I will allow myself to feel as if I have that already. When I eat, I will truly enjoy my food- blessing it to my body for a healthy me.
Here are the ground rules.
I am not allowed to work in direct opposition to my goals. For instance, I have not eaten sugar wheat, or flour for about 8 years due to food addiction in the past. I will not suddenly begin to eat Oreos and Ho Hos again. I have also monitored my quantity of food due to the same situation. I will not now start to eat large quantities of food. In other words I will eat and enjoy my food- but will not really vary too much from the food plan that works for me, and has for a long time helped me to avoid food obsession.
(Note I also have a blog on food addiction- because certain foods have a very real effect on brain chemistry and hence food obsession and compulsive eating. So this type of experiment is not for the beginner who is new to a food plan.)
I embark on this plan because although I seem to do everything well- Ieat right, exercise, work on raising my metabolism, etc.- I still remain overweight. So my growing assumption for a long time has been this.
I think myself to being fat. I think I am fat, therefore I am.
Since the power of attraction is quantitative, and many minds manifest better than one, having you- the readers- on board with me for this experiment will greatly help my efforts. Here is what you can do. 1) Send me your positive thoughts and energy- visualizing me as thin and having abundance 2) Send me your concrete ideas on how I can add to my manifesting regime 3) Check my writing regularly to note my progress and always be 100% sure I can succeed.
And if I can succeed, you can succeed. So away we go!
On GOD, Spirituality, and Manifesting
I have been thinking a lot about GOD (in the highest sense) and God (in the sense of the God within) as well as religion, spirituality, and my place as a person who was baptized a Christian at the age of 11. Then too I have been considering my adult views on spirituality and religion- and how all of this relates to the concept of 'manifesting anything you want.'

So let us take a better look at Jesus, since he was our role model as Christians. Jesus said that we, like him, are sons of GOD, and children of GOD. With this in mind, consider that Jesus was not teaching people that HE was special, and made in the image of and likeness God (which he was, of course)... but rather that we ALL are special, and made in the likeness of GOD. Consider that Jesus was saying that there is God in each of us. Now if that is true it follows that if Jesus can perform miracles, walk on water, feed the masses, etc, so can we all.
The Science of Being and How to Manifest Anything You Want
These days there is a lot of talk about how to manifest anything you want. Many people from various walks of life are saying that we ourselves have the power to create anything we want in our lives. There are even some physicists that claim that we, like some sort of mini-gods, have the power to create at our fingertips.
Now hold on, all you devout Christians, and don't get nervous. No-one is saying here that we are God, with that capital G. Just that we have some god-like characteristics. And one of them is the power to create. Now this is not a foreign concept to Christianity. If you remember your bible, it says that we are created "in the image and likeness of God."
In point of fact, the exact meaning of this quote has somewhat eluded mankind for two thousand years. But now with this new thought we may get a glimmer of understanding.
Perhaps we are like God, in that we have the power to create our world and the worlds around us. Now no-one knows exactly how far we can take this power- but we are clearly learning that we have some power. For instance, think of The Law of Attraction, Eckart Tolle, Oprah and her myriad guests on the subject, and so on. And what many of these entities are saying is that ‘how to manifest anything you want' is largely about ‘being' the type of person who has good things show up.
So for today we will put aside our biblical argument. We will take it as a logical premise that how we go around in life, our mood, our outlook, our background commitments, hidden agendas, and our way of being have something to do with how the world shows up for us. We will assume that these things color what happens to us.
Well where did we get all of these ways of being, then? How did we get to be the person that we are, doing the things we do, seeing life as we do? How did we get to be this way, as opposed to some other way that we could be?
Well some folks in this day and age are saying that we ourselves have created the person that we are. And even more interesting, that we can recreate ourselves, any way we want to be. And when we do so we will then attract what it is we want- be it physical, spiritual, relational, or whatever. And this concept, my friends, is known as The Science of Being.
I will tell you more about the intriguing Science of Being and how to manifest anything you want in future articles. I am sure you will 'be' amazed at what is possible.
