Anxiety symptoms come in many forms and affect many different people. Some of us are affected more adversely by the stress in our lives than others. For most of us, dealing with office stress is an everyday occurance.  Everyone takes differently to the day to day problems that we all face. Some of us embrace the challenges we face at work while others just get completely overwhelmed by it. Even at home, the stress can wear on us. Between running the kids all around town to keeping the fridge nice and full at all times, it's so easy to get run-down. If you suffer from anxiety or stress, don't worry - You're not alone! And luckily for all of us, there is an abundance of valuable advice online these days.

In my short time on this planet, I've come up with a few little things that keep the stress level in my life down. Most of my friends now refer to me as Easy Going and Fun-Lovin'. Now, granted, I'm not always in a sweet mood but I am now so here are 5 different things I do to overcome anxiety when it hits me.

1. Be Neutral

Now I'm not referring to anything automobile related here. One way to overcome anxiety is by consciously trying to stay neutral in your life. Have you ever noticed that when you're stressed out, you only focus on bad things? This vicious cycle of negativity only takes you deeper and deeper into the dark hole of anxiety. In order to break this spell, you need to bring some positive energy into your thought patterns. Try this exercise: The next time you feel stressed, sit down with a pencil and a piece of paper. You're going to make a list of all the things that are ticking you off or stressing you out. Here's the catch though... For every negative thing you write down, you need to counter it with something positive. Doing this simple exercise will help keep you more neutral and less anxious.

2. Find The Route Of Your Anxiety

This is always a good place to start. If you don't know what's making you anxious, how the heck are you going to fix it?! It's not always easy to figure out exactly where your anxiety is coming from though. I find that a little meditation helps. Try this simple exercise. Sit down in a quiet place with your eyes closed. Now I want you to listen to your thoughts. It's important that you don't judge these thoughts. You just want to see them as they pass. It shouldn't take long before you figure out where all that stress is coming from. Now all you have to do is figure out how to overcome anxiety.

3. Communicate With Someone

Communication is a wonderful tool in the fight against anxiety. Most of us have close friends or family members that are more than willing to lend an unbiased ear. Don't be shy! This is what these people are in your life for. If you don't really have anyone to talk to, there are other options out there. Quite a few help lines exist for people that prefer to chat in anonymity. There is also some websites that offer free help via email correspondence. Try these on!

4. Exercise Your Way Out Of Anxiety!

Physical exercise is a sure fire way to reduce the stress in your life. I'm not a doctor but I'm positively certain that there is a link between being fit and being happy. You don't have to become an iron-man or anything, just get your heart going a bit. I personally prefer running to anything else because I'm kind of a loner. There is nothing like hitting the road at the crack of dawn to shake the stress of the day before away. If you're a bit more of social butterfly, all the power to you! Pick your favorite sport and get at it! Joining a sports team is also a fantastic way to meet people. This will help with you to overcome anxiety even further.

5. Find A Diversion

I don't really recommend this as a long term solution but it works quite well for a quick fix. Finding a diversion basically means tricking your mind into forgetting about the problems in your life. Indulging in this is a guilty pleasure of mine. There are so many funny sites on the Internet these days so this exercise is easier than ever.
