How To Potty Train A Yorkie Puppy

If you have a new Yorkie Puppy, the best thing for you to realize

is to love that new puppy properly, you are going to have to

invest your time to potty-train this new baby in the family.

Since a Yorkie puppy's bladder is very small, it will take a lot

of patience on your part to train this new member of your family.

It can be done, but it takes time, patience and the secret

key ingredient is - persistence and consistency!

If you can't do that, it's just not gonna happen!

If you are a patient and realize that first of all, this is

going to be a process, just like potty training is for us humans!

Your puppy will get the idea, but please don't do it with punishment!

Dogs, like us, respond so much better to positive reinforcement,

so when your new puppy goes outside or on the puppy pad

that you have provided for him/her, praise your puppy with

your words, your tone and a small treat.

There are three ways to potty train a Yorkie puppy,

- the Crate Method (best if you work all day);

-the Paper Method;

-The Puppy Pad Method.

To learn which method best suits your daily schedule

and where you are located (apartment or home),
