Manga (pronounced mohn-gah) are Japanese comics that are traditionally read from right to left. Often involving humorous and magical stories, manga are usually targeted towards children, but have many stories that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. There are also many types of manga made for teens and adults, usually of a more serious or mature nature, and are drawn more realistically than children's manga. Unlike western culture, many eastern countries read books from right to left, starting with what we'd view as the last page of a book. Manga novels are no exception. It can be a little confusing at first, but with practice it becomes much easier. The following will explain how to properly read a manga story.

To read a manga, first flip the book over and open the right side of the cover. Begin reading the first upper right panel on the page, and move to the panel to the left of it. Continue in this way until you reach the edge of the page and continue with the furthest right panel on the next row.
