Fascinating, compu-smart. You haven't been in touch with Big Brother, have you? This hub, along with your other hubs on Live Streaming Videos and How to See Your House Live, are giving me a good education on this subject. But what I'd like to know is who is watching me while I'm watching everyone and everything else?

Hi Eddie, Im sure you will only need to keep an eye on Barbie purley for heer beauty and NOT because you dont trust her im sure!:)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi William, I have and am alwys in touch with Big Brother just like us all (without even realising it!) ps-IYou know im waatching your back when and where i can!;)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Dottie, lmao @ the cats on the table! That would be a surprise as i do not own a table! heehee..

When i visited Cyprus for the first time, this was the case! I could not believe it! ,,I even remember walking into the bank with no guards, bars, or alarms, and i said to a relative, "I cant believe this bank has no security" at that point, the Teller overheard me and threw me a few thick bundles of money it must have been thousands of greek pounds and he said to me, "You can rob me but you wont get far because of Cyprus being such a small island!

The new technologies are so amazing. If this Web-Cam captures images at the Speed of Light, then I might be able to keep an eye on Fast Eddie.

Thanks, Barbie Perkins

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi eswar, I'm glad to hear you will find this simple tip-trick useful, and like most things they are always simple, once you know how!;)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi dept releif, Your soo right! It can save you so much money, instead of buying a separate programs to do this. You can also save on system resources by having just one program (yahoo) running instead of two, with the remote monitoring software especially if you already have yahoo always running! and its so much easier!:) Let me know if you have any problems!;)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi ripplemaker, Mmm, sounds like fun!:D

Clever! I wonder if I could create 3 more accounts and have am accessable webcam in every room - since i have desktop in the office - a laptop wherever - and an old mac in the bedroom -hmmm, that could be fun (each computer has a unique ip, Ithink it will work!)

awesome idea - although hopefully I will never get in the habit of looking at it - taht could be addictive, and i will finally answer the question of what my dog does while im away!

Super! I have never heard anything so dumb! why would you want to do this!?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hi sunforger, Yes, you can do this very easily! there is no limitations!

I have my webcam connected to my desktop and wherever i am (home n away) on my laptop i can view my cam! i am using it now to keep an eye on the neighbors and street! ..i will be using it in a minute to keep an eye on the cooking in the kitchen instead of having to keep getting up and check!

Hi compu-smart, How you doing? Only a compu-smart hacker knows smart ideas like this one. I didn't knew you were that smart.....hahaha just kidding.

This is the difference between regular use & creative use. Everyday people like me & others use Webcams to chat & view live videos. I never thought of using Yahoo messenger or others to monitor my home. Although idea is same when you are doing a video chat with some one they can see you & you can see them too.

It is very good idea but the only problem is people who have DSL internet connection can use this. In addition, your computer has to be permanently connected to the internet plus computer plug into power too. Therefore, it will be costly experiment.

Now I know you are really a compu-smart excellent hub & thanks for sharing your ideas.

Hey Mr Nice;) Thanks for your comment! Its all about thinking outside the box!;)I had Yahoo on my PC for years without realising this could be done! and in that time I had looked for and installing various remote monitoring programs which has some really useful tools especially for security reasons,, Yahoo became my easiest solution as it saved PC resources just having the Yahoo app open which open at all times.. When ever I am ay any other PC I will sign in and keep eye on things if and when i need to! Reference leaving PC on,,I would always recommend leaving PCs (Desk tops) always on as I will always be downloading somethings like movies etc which I do either before I sleep or when I leave the house which, again is to save system recources! If im not doing these, I would always leave PC on! The reasons for me is, before I leave my house or am going to sleep, these are the times I do my disc fragmenting or i will be running other system clean up tools which again saves resources and bandwith!
