Day One!

 Computers:

When buying a computer there are a few short rules to follow...

1) Research the types of computers you are looking for and then cross compare them to allow an effortless choice. When you cross compare the choices you'll figure out what you want for a great price too.

2) Search Google, Amazon, Ebay, and Yahoo for the best prices. Often on these websites you can find great prices, although on ebay you can find great used one's for half the price. So if your on a budget I'd try searching Ebay and finding an auction on your "researched computer". Make sure to check the shipping charges as well and that the computer is a real one. Always be careful when purchasing online.

3) Before buying take a look at all the offers you found on those great sites above. Print out a report with the pros and cons of each. Then choose the one that best fits what you want from the computer with the price.

4) See if you can get any discounts. There are often student discounts for computers at many stores. Make sure they are worth it though. They may have a student discount but that doesn't mean its the best price overall. Also some jobs can offer you discounts through their corporation. Make sure with your boss to see if you can get a discount when buying from larger companies such as amazon, dell, Apple, and Best Buy.

5) After choosing make sure you get a good warrenty and 24hour support for setting up your computer and any other problems you may have. Oh and when  you get your computer store your Box and Papers! They are required when getting any maintenance or returns.

I hope these tips have helped you in purchasing a computer. Have a great day and look for next week's tip on buying a cell phone! I'll be comparing plans and the best cell phone Companies!
