Setting Up A Domain Name On Your Website Hosting Account - Video Tutorial Lesson

Installing your new domain on your web host takes about 5 minutes and is easy to learn

After you buy your new domain name and point it to your web host the next important step is to set up your domain on your dedicated web hosting service account. This process takes about 5 minutes to accomplish but is absolutely necessary to learn if your want to make a website and make money online through affiliate marketing.

You'll manage all of your domains on your web host's cPanel, or Control Panel

In a previous hub I taught how to buy a domain name and how to point your domain name to your web host and provided two YouTube video tutorials. In this hub you'll actually going to go right into your web host's cPanel. Your cPanel, or Control Panel, is where you manage all of your website's files.

If you purchase discount web hosting through my affiliate link I'd be happy to help answer any questions

Personally, I use BlueHost.com for discount web hosting as I quite like their discount web hosting services. What's great is I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes on hold when I call them. Note - If you buy hosting through my affiliate link here I'd also be happy to try to answer any questions that you might have.

In the video below I'll walk you step-by-step how to install your domain on your web host

To set up your new domain name on your web hosting account you'll have to log onto your control panel. While I've provided a video tutorial below (I wish I had this when I started out!) your web host's customer service will also be happy to help you when you're just starting out.

Instructions for setting up your new domain name on your hosting account

Scroll down to Domains then click on Domain Manager. Under Shortcuts click on Assign A New Domain Name to Your cPanel Account. Then, under Step 1: Enter Domain Name key in your new domain name in the box that says, "Use a domain that is not already associated with your account". Wait for the site to verify domain ownership. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on Add Domain.

In the next Hub tutorial lesson you'll learn how to set up WordPress on your new website

By now you're done: You have successfully added a new domain to your web host's cPanel account. Your next step is to install WordPress on your website. This will be in the next Hub and YouTube video tutorial.

I hope this has helped. If you have any questions please let me know in the comments section below.
