How To Speed Up Your PC
Has your PC been running slow? Does pulling up a webpage take forever? When you press the power button, can you make coffee while your computer starts up? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then there are some steps you can step to speed up your PC.
Free - Easy- Fast PC Speed
These steps are free and easy to perform. Once you learn these steps, you should do them on a regular bases.
Speed Up The PC Step 1
Speed-it-up Step 1 - Run "clean disk". From the start menu select "all programs". Select "accessories". Under "accessories" select "system tools". Under "system tools" select "clean disk".
Speed Up The PC Step 2
Speed-it-up Step 2 - Run "disk defragmenter". From the start menu select "all programs". Select "accessories". Under "accessories" select "system tools". Under "system tools" select "disk defragmenter".
Speed Up The PC Step 3
Speed-it-up Step 3 - Go to your "control panel". Select "add/remove" programs. Remove old or unused programs.
Speed Up The PC Step 4
Speed-it-up Step 4 - Go to your "control panel". Select "Internet options". Under the general tab delete your "browsing history".
Speed Up The PC Step 5
Speed-it-up Step 5 - Go to your "control panel". Select "add/remove programs". Select the tab "add/remove Windows components". Deselect the programs that you do not use.
Speed Up The PC Step 6
Speed-it-up Step 6 - Repeat steps 1 & 2.
Restart your computer.
You have successfully cleaned up your computer. It should now be performing at maximum capacity -- (faster). By performing the "Speed-it-up steps" you have freed up disk space and reorganized your computer files for best performance. The next time you start-up your computer or visit a webpage it should load faster. You should perform these steps once a month. For uses you watch videos, or visit many website (above average) you should perform these "Speed-it-up steps" once a week.
Note: If you are using Vista your start menu may be listed differently. However, just use the help menu to find the location of these system tools.
