Now's the time to start your own business!

After (almost) two years of starting and running Lets Go Banners, we've redirected our primary aim (which was to franchise our model,) and have, instead, decided to publish a course about "how to start and manage your sign and banner business."  I'll try to publish a link to our home page (it should be up and running by August 15, 2009.)

My wife (Marnie) and I joke that the only regrets we have about starting Lets Go Banners is that we didn't do it 15 years earlier.

Just for a quick background: we moved our family to Hawaii in December 2007.  Within a couple months of setting up shop, we started Lets Go Banners (google "Vinyl Banners," we're usually number 6 or 7) and started building our client base.

It was a dream of ours to move to Hawaii (after being lucky to vacation here a few times,) so when we had the opportunity to make the move, we did it.  And not ready to retire, we knew we had to make a living.  I had started researching wide format printing prior to our leave and we made the decision to get into this industry.  And (I can only tell you,) it's a blast!  When we made the decision to start Lets Go Banners, we planned on attempting to set it up to franchise our system.  But during the first 90 days of starting our business, the economy TANKED.  So we instead focused on growing our client base and pursuing other methods for expanding.

Well, after almost 2 years (and the economy is not (so far) much better:), we've decided to offer a "how to" course for entrepreneurs wishing to start a business.

As with all businesses, there are risks, but we've attempted to put together a course that offers all the short-cuts to "how to start your own sign and banner company," and maybe, someday, to turnkey our system even more.

Even with landing in a city (where were knew NO ONE,) and had (NO REPUTATION), we managed to hit the ground running.  We picked up over 300 clients in the first 12 months and have stayed SLAMMED.

If you're interested in an opportunity to learn how to start a noble business, one that is "technology resistent," and "recession/depression" resistant, than check out our site (posted below.)

thanks,

Chris
