Every wonder why sometimes when you are making a beat the kick and bass seem to clash with eachtoher.  This is because the main frequency of the bass and kick do not match up.  When things are in tune with eacthother it can take a ok song and make everything fall into place.  Wonder how you can tune your kick and bass to be on the same freq.?  Here's how you do it.

First you pick out a kick that you like.

Now you have to find out what the kick is tuned to.  To do this you need to put it through a tuner plug in.  There are all kinds odf them out there, there is one built into Guitar Rig.  Loop the kick and note what key the kick is in and remember or write it down.  If the kick isnt exact, pitch shift it up or down towards whatever note you want until it is in a solid recognisable key.

Next you just match the bass root note with the note the kick is in.

It's that simple. Try it out and see what happens.  There might be a little bit of clash because there are other freq. in the kick and bass that might not agree with eachtother, but this sould take care of most of it.
