People say, that safelist advertising does not work.

Right !

If you do it NOT the RIGHT way !

I, myself have great results with safelist advertising.

There are many safelists out there in net space.

Most of them are not worth the time to advertise in.

If you know how the most are built:

The are some companies that tell you, that you will earn great money

as a safelist owner. And they have some lists for you to buy.

You can choose a list with about 100 members or about 4000 members.

Forget it. These 'members' will never read your admin mails nor the mails

other members send.

Because that are faked members which were entered by the sellers fo the lists, or the members joined through safelist submitters. They are members in about 3000 or 4000 safelists.

They have a big mail account where all mails in the inbox will be deleted automatically. Nobody reads your Ad !

Are the people right when saying safelists do not work ?

It seems..

BUT:

Safelist advertising works well.

If you advertise in the RIGHT safelists and use them RIGHT !

So what is the trick ?

No trick. All calculated work to write the rights ads.

In the right safelists.

What are the right lists ?

The main point to choose a list is to check:

Is it a paid list ?

Paid Safelists are much more effective than the free lousy lists which are

floating throught the net. ( And some do not have names, only numbers -:) )

Paid Safelists cost money, but they are worth it !

Members are reading the ads because they are paying money to use the list

and why should they pay money when the not read the ads ?

Many marketers read safelist ad to know what is on, what sells and what is new. Also to learn from the headlines. If there are headlines which do attract them, why these headlines shall not attract more people ? And another point:

The ads which you see every day or every week again, must be good ones.

Otherwise they were not sent when they do not get any response. RIGHT ?

You cannot only advertise with safelists, you also can learn from safelists.

So choose only paid safelists.

And what is about the member count ?

Are safelists with a huge member base better than lists with less members ?

NO !

I was a paid member on lists with 40,000 members, 70,000 and also with 170,000 members. I do not know if the members have died already, but when you get not more than 10 visitors from a mailing that is not very good.

And the ads got much more response in very little lists with some hundred members only. It cannot be the ad what was bad, but the lists.

It is not very easy to find the RIGHT lists from scratch. you have to test, track your ads and test again.

Another point why safelists are good: Earning Money

Many safelists pay huge commissions for referring members.

If you are a member of some safelists, your commissions can be some hundred of Dollars a month. Not so bad.

So, try safelists to advertise.

BUT: Do not sell with your ad. Get peoples attention with you ad to build your list. Offer a gift to get them on your list. That works well with safelists -:)
