How and when can you say that a person is a successful blogger?
53You know when you have become a successful blogger when you get your very first comment. I am not talking the spam variety or the one or two word comment that says " wow good blog", but when someone engages you in a conversation,When a person is interested enough in what you are saying, you have just developed a relationship and a potential new customer. Many people will talk about the money, they will talk about so many things, but imagine writing about something that you love and a stranger reads and is impressed enough to want to say something to you, maybe even follow you in your writing.... what a rush! You are indeed a Success!

Hi Diana, thanks for opening a door! What do I mean when I say that? Well, this is where people drop the ball when it comes to blogging - the comments! Lets trade words and instead of saying comments, lets use the word conversation, for that is really what comments are - a way for people to converse on a particular subject. Add to that thinking add traffic, unique content and what you are getting is Google taking notice of you. What happens then, well if done properly, a person gets higher in the search engines and and it is possible to get yourself to page 1 on your particular keyword/long tail keyword. Taking this thinking again one step further, a person comes on line looking for something for whatever reason and if you have done your work and people haved helped in conversing with you, then that person could find your blog...go to you and maybe, just maybe they will even buy from you..wow!
Have i over simplified this equation...in some ways, but the essence is...when your write good content, you keep posting frequently and that one person comes to you...says something to you (via a comment) you are without a doubt a success. when people start coming to you on a regular basis, then the feeling is just amazing !
On the other side of the coin - the people who converse with you on a blog are also winners... and again..people fall very short in this to the point they are losing out...can anyone tell me why?

Well said, Dianne, Can remember the first comment on my own blog and was just over the moon, it is understandable that the owners of all blogs do really appreciate the comments, and if they are constructive and say something important for you to take on board ....all the better.This is a well thought out hub,congratulations.
Hi Holly thanks for coming in. I liked your wording "constructive and saying something important" I wonder how many people understand that when you leave a comment like this, people actually read them. Do it well, people will click on your ( the commenter's link) business. As I was saying to Diana, commenters can also be winners. We talk or have heard about viral marketing, this is truly one of the best forms of vial marketing you will every do. No you are not selling anything, but through comments of substance you will get known as person who is credible, an authority figure if you will. People will go to see who you are and what your business is all about.
Diana also mentioned in her comment that we live in a very busy world and thus the imlication ( to me) is that people dont have time. Huge mistake! Blogging and being successful in blogging means MAKING the time to search out and find those blog of intereste within your niche and you better believe it, finding posts that you can talk about and creating that "link" to the author has more dividends than you can possibly imagine. There are a variety of ways to do this ( finding blogs) some ya are paid for resources, but there are so many free resources on lets say Firefox ( add-ons) blog finder software etc, there truly is little excuses.
Because my particular niche is helping others be successful in blogging, then I will of course gravitate to those kind of blogs. Sometimes though, I will find a blog that is within my personal interests and if I can add value to that person, then you better believe I will leave a comment for that person. If that person likes what I said... then they will check out my blog, link to me and guess what? I have created more success for my blog...truly amazing how this works!

Hi Alexas,
You are so right about getting a more indepth comment however today I feel that we all live in such a rush rush society that although many may want to write more they just have the time sad to say.
So maybe it is just to appeae myself in saying the above but I just get a thrill that some has taken the time to at least say well good blog or interesting etc.
