Find your best Gift Card

The Internet is filled with offers for Free Gift Cards where the gift card is really a reward for completing their program. Typically the programs from one gift card to another are very similar. The programs usually have 3 levels of offers and at each level you need to complete a certain number of offers before moving on to the next level.

There are typically 3 levels and most often they named Silver, Gold, and Platinum level offers. You will tend to see more “Work from Home” and “Credit Reporting” offers at the Platinum level. The Silver and Gold levels will contain offers for common items such as book clubs (Disney, Dr. Seuss, and your standard adult clubs too), Netflix, and makeup.

It’s not uncommon to be interested in more offers than you are required to fulfill. Keep this in mind because if you do a little bargain hunting you may be able to turn that extra interest into a second gift card. If you can turn your interest in makeup, weight loss, and working on the internet into a $1000 gift card and $250 gift card instead of just a $1000 gift card then why wouldn’t you?

Free Gift Card Truisms

  • 1. Gift cards worth $50 require you to complete fewer offers than cards worth $1000.
  • 2. At the time of this writing a $1000 gift card typically requires you complete 2 Silver, 2 Gold, and 9 Platinum offers. However, six months ago the number of offers at each level and the offers themselves were all different. You have to do a little bargain hunting to find the best reward vs. program requirements payoff.

Gift Card Scams

As with most things in life – if it seems too good to be true then it probably is. Same thing holds for the internet. I have not found a site that tells you if one gift card offer or another is a scam. Nor do these free gift card sites offer you a means to provide your feedback.

Some of these offers have been around for years, others have been around for days. If the site has been up for years then it’s a good bet that they live up to their obligations. However, don’t just look at their copyright date or any other date on their site. You want to verify the age with an archive site if you can find one that has the offer. (The archive sites can be picky and may not archive a particular offer.)

I was not happy that I couldn’t find a site that rated these offers or provided any kind of meaningful feedback so I’ve created a wiki style site. On that site I have a large list free gift card offers with ratings for each gift card offer and feedback for each freebie offer.
