How do you Make New Friends?

Easy! Join forums and communities of your interests, meet people from these communities off-line as well and you'll see that you are not alone. A number of my friends had tripled since we had kids. It is amazing how easy kids make new friends, I think every parent learned from his kid how to create more contacts everywhere - in the parks, on playgrounds, in shopping malls etc. So, my point is: if you asked this question, then you are on right path, you are ready to meet new people in your life. Start looking for people with similar interests online and then meet them offline.
