Where to spend the holidays

I read this hub about where to spend the holidays our family on my side puts all our names in a little basket we all go to my moms at different times and pick a name out of the basket our limit is twenty dollars because there's are allot of us. Then we all choose whose house wants to have the gift exchange on Christmas eve we eat talk and exchange.On Christmas day we go to my husbands family very small give them a gift and go home so our children and grandchildren can come to our house.On Thanksgiving my children and their family come to my house.Same as Easter on New-Years we stay home away from danger crazy people, eat the traditional sauerkraut and pork.Everyone has their own ideas. I learned alone time ago, to stop caring about where to spend my holidays, by deciding to spend them with my children, at home, HAPPY,lol.

Don't get me wrong, i don't mind visiting others on the holidays, but I like to take my time, eat a good meal and stretch out, and thats hard to do at my families house, with everything being so formal.

I do love others to come to my home however, i love to entertain for the holidays season.
