Use Web 2.0 to Beat Google
As far as increasing your page rankings, there are several factors to consider. First selct your "niche." Do you have a website? If not I have some free hosting wizardhost.biz. this is c-panel with no ads and 250 MB and 100 GB transfer. Now, if you know about HTML, select your keywords carefully. There are some keyword tools that you can buy, or free ones like good Keywords. Most webmasters use Overture, which is a Yahoo product. Make no mistake this is an important step. Now, if you want to host your own blog, you should probably join blogcatalog, so other bloggers will read your blogs and possibly want to trade links. If you have a blog, definitely have feedburnersmith plugin and Ultimate tag wrrior, as well as Share-it Plugin. Once you have a "feed" through feedburner, you can create widgets at widgetbox. Once you have these widgets, you can put them on the SuperWall aat facebook.com and myspace. Now the next thing is to get an account with Google Page Creator. Any posts that you write can be posted here. Since this is hosted by Google, obviously it's going to have a high page ranking. Now another very important factor that Google spiders consider are videos on your posts, since it is now the era of Web 2.0. this means that the more interactive your site is the higher the ranking. That is why blogs rank higher. Okay another important site is Squidoo. so it's important to creae a site there, because it has high rankings. You can put your RSS from feedburner there also. You see, by putting your widgets (which contain your RSS) your sites are being updated automatically. And this is what Google notices.There is a site called Zimbio that allows you to upload videos from youtube or Google and make a widget. the cool thing about these widgets is that they have memory. I put them right on my blogs. When a reader clicks on the video, it opens a screen in the center of the page. It even allows the reader to scroll through my history of videos. On one of my sites, which is a vidoe blog site Krsnatube.com, I have embeds from youtube and another video hsting site called Vimeo. This site allows longer videos to be uploaded; as you know, youtube has a maximum time of 10 minutes. Now, in order to stay updated, you need to visit Jack Humphrey Friday Traffic Report. Now Howie Schwartz is an associate of Jack's and he is the master of "conversation domination" as Howie puts it. Jack also has a channel on youtube. One final thing today to investigate are webmaster tools on Google. You need to set up an account with Google Analytics. There you will register your site, and you will get a script which you will then paste on your website. This will track your site for you and its' traffic and "awaken" that site to Google spiders which will then visit it periodically. Hope this helps.

Hey vrajavala, I have been in the mortgage industry for going on 7 years. I was a top branch manager with Countrywide for several years prior to leaving them. I now work as a branch manger/sr loan officer for Home America Mortgage because I love the freedom.
I spent the first 5+ years of my mortgage career in Florida and can still write business there. I am very familiar with Amerisave as they heavily recruited me when I started leaving Countrywide, but it was nt a fit for me.
As for blogging about the Mortgage industry, most people just want to read the doom and gloom of it all and if you read anything that I have off of ActiveRain, you will see that I stay away from that.
Now, back to the case of BlogCatalog. I joined this last night as instructed and this morning I received an email stating that it was declined says the the URL that I submitted in not a blog.
vrajavala, I think I learned more in 1/2 hour on this page then I have learned to date anware else, regarding making money on the web.
I am a complete virgin when it comes to this stuff. (I can hardly even type!)
I just got a hub account and I am anxious to get my feet wet. The only way I have made any $ so far on the web is by a few articles I have written for: www.helium.com/
Any help you can provide to get a rookie started will be much appreciated. This is my 1st entry on the Hub.
