Brinjal Bhajjia Recipe

 
Brinjal Bhajjia
 
Ingredients (for 4):
 
Brinjals             	            225gm
Bengal Gram Flour       30gm
Chilli powder                5gm
Soda bicarbonate         1 pinch
Turmeric                       1 pinch
Salt                              to taste
Oil to fry                       
 
Method:
 

Wash and slice the brinjals into thin roundels. Apply turmeric and salt.Make a batter with gram flour, Soda bicarbonate, Chilli powder and water. Dip slices of brinjals in batter and deep fry. Drain and serve hot with rice or chappathis.

I went about making the bhajis according to your receipe. The end product was

delicious. However the presention wasn't so. While frying the bhajis, the batter started to come off. I don't know the reason for it. ..was it because of the turmeric or whether it had do do with too little Soda B. Would you know the reason so that it doesn't the next time around ? Thanks.
