How do you make some extra cash? Write for profit
56Write for Profit
I write for profit. There are web sites available for you to 1. post a profile, 2. pay a small fee, and 3. get listings of contract jobs writing for others. I use elance.com. It's easy to get established, the monthly fee is reasonable, and I got a gig the first week I was in the system. They average a couple dozen new job postings each day, so you have a wide variety of jobs to bid on. The range of possibilities for work includes web site content, technical writing, blog content, ghost writing someones book or speech, and proofing and editing the work of others. My first job was to re-write ten articles "found" on the web and reworking them in my words for someone else to print. Don't expect to get rich, but I average $100.00/week most months and I have earned more for bigger projects.

Getting paid for doing what we love is a great benefit. I found the site on the internet that I use, elance.com, by doing a Google search for proofreaders. Muse.com is another, but costs more, so I passed, but it may suit your needs. There are others, shop around. If you find one that better, let me know.

could you point us towards certain sites? I am wanting to explore more options of places to write for pay. Any help would be appreciated.
