If its a "simple" solution (as you put it) - don't think there'd be any money to be made out of it. I assume you are talking about simple remedies. Of course, if you have discovered something medically significant - a cure to some ailment that is at present incurable or something along those lines, then you are onto something.

In case of significant discoveries or inventions, you might wanna patent it as soon as possible and not divulge any info regarding it to anyone. You could then tie up with a company if you don't have the business acumen or resources yourself to market and develop it.

That way, you could stand to benefit a significant amount from whatever it is that you've discovered or invented. So, in short, the significance and importance of your discovery or invention is what matters. Everything else follows from that.

Hi Shil, thanks again for taking the time to answer this question. My problem is that there is nothing to market. It's just like a piece of advice for one who gets a hiccup--very simple, swallow a tsp of sugar--no medicine to market. But my discovery is for restless leg syndrome and IBS, both of which has lots of people suffering and presently has no cure except for temporary medicines given by companies. The cure is just a 10 minute paragraph of what to do and not to do.
