This is Jason Bay's first full season with the Red Sox and he just hit his 16th homerun. He is second in the league in RBI and fits in perfectly with the red sox.

preseason predictions had Bay finishing the year batting .290 with 30 homers and 100 rbi, a very solid year. However, as June is just starting and he is hitting .305 with 16 hrs and 51 rbi, it seems pretty clear he will easily surpass those expectations. Jason Bay has had a very successful career, on the Pirates he was an All-Star who batted clean up on the all star team. He is one of those players that always seems to slip through the cracks.

This year, for the first time in his career, he is in a good lineup. It is pretty hard to argue with his incredibly successful results so far, but will they keep up? It seems like they will, as he is actually slowly down and still hitting HRs and driving in runs at a rediculous pace.

Fantasy Baseball has had Jason Bay in the top 10 best players the entire season, is he worthy of such a ranking. Well, as far as fantasy baseball is concerned he does great in average, HRs, RBI, and he steals the occasional base, his one flawe is his high strikeout rate.

Only time will tell if Jason Bay will be able to keep up his insane pace at the plate, but right now it looks like he will. Boston might have to really bring out the cash to keep Bay in town as he comes up att he end of the year. It is hard to say, but Bay may be only starting the secong half of what might be a great career.
