Ice Stone Counter-tops are an environmentally friendly choice that are increasingly popular for kitchen remodels.

Installed prices are similar to the price of medium to high range granite, an estimated $100 per square foot installed depending on who does it and what your desires are as far as color and style. Thicknesses of the material can vary as well, which will ultimately make a difference in price.

As far as being readily available it depends on where you live. Being in the Dallas area I found three distributors within a two hundred mile radius. When I put in the zip code for Philadelphia I found over ten distributors within a two hundred mile radius so alot of it will depend on where you live.

At this writing, ice stone is not available at your local Home Depot or Lowe's Home Improvement Centers. It will take some planning and checking around to find it. As it increases in popularity over the next few years it will ultimately be easier to find.

I suspect that IceStone is more readily available on the east and west coasts and more difficult to find in the Midwest. I would expect that to change over the next year or two and suggest that if you live int he central part of the United States and if the renovations can be postponed for a time, you do so.

You can do a search for distributors in your area by putting your zip code and doing a search at the website.

I've never heard of ice stone, but it is beautiful. Or at least the sample that you have above is.
