Hi Vin, it is not about being fat. It is knowing your BMI, which tells you your weight category. From the figures you've given, your Body mass index is 23.7, which is in the normal weight category.
I am 15yrs old and 6'2'' and 252 pounds is that normal
Robert your BMI is: 32.4
Having said that, at your age it is difficult to draw any conclusions without first comparing your body mass index with those of children of your age from your area.
I should also say that BMI does not tell you anything about your body fat, because there are other factors to take into consideration, such as muscle mass: fitness level, bone structure, gender and ethnicity.
People who have greater bone mass tend to have higher BMI figures, but this does not necessarily mean there is anything wrong with them.
One other consideration is BMI-for-age - BMI calculations in children are used differently for children. Although the BMI for children is calculated the same way as for adults, instead of the categories listed above being used, the value is instead compared with values from children of the same sex and age.
A person's body mass index figure can sometimes just be showing that they are at risk of becoming overweight, and not that they are actually overweight.
Girls between the ages of 12 and 16 have a higher BMI than boys of the same age.
