Laila- Actually to counter the winter weight gain and also to avoid driving in snow I prefer to walk to my office. I believe that in winter one can lose weight by just being in cold as the body tries to keep it's temperature up it will be burning more calories. I guess this strategy is not for everyone as I stay very close to the office it is possible for me.
CW,yes,thats what my son too keeps saying about the body burning more calories during the cold weather..he's a doctor,but I dont think I took him seriously..lol.Please do keep this a secret, that I beleived you rather than him..lol.

Good tips. Was at my doctor at the end of last winter because I gained "winter weight" and he told me that a lot of people gain weight during the winter and just when they make progress of losing it, they're hit with winter again and gain it right back. He mentioned taking dance classes or playing on indoor sports teams.
