How to Block Unwanted Emails in Outlook Express

Most of us have grown so reliant and dependent on spam blocking and other software that we sometimes overlook some of the simpliest features that are built right in the programs we use every day, such as, Internet Explorer's Outlook Express email program.

Outlook Express has some nifty features that you may or may not be aware of.

One such feature is the easy ability is to block a sender from sending you unwanted emails. This feature is great for the occasional and annoying spammer, especially the one that keeps slipping through other spam blocking programs.

It's easy to do, here's how...

STEP 1.

Open Outlook Express. Then, select and click on the unwanted email.

STEP 2.

With the unwanted message highlighted, go to the top of your Outlook Express menu and click on "Message".

STEP 3.

Scroll down the "Message" menu and click on "Block Sender".

STEP 4.

Outlook Express will pop you a message letting you know that the email address has been added to your Blocked Sender's list. Click "OK" to confirm and delete all messages from this sender.

That's it, super simple!

TIP: You can always remove senders from your Remove Sender's List if you decide you want to start receiving their emails again.

TIP: If you don't use Outlook Express, other email programs allow you to block emails from unwanted senders as well. Check your tools and options.
