Solution: From the 'Messenger' menu, click 'Preferences'. From 'Category' list box, click 'Ignore List'. Select 'Ignore only the people below' option. Click the 'Add' button. Enter the e-mail address or contact name to be blocked. Click the 'Ignore' button. Click 'OK'.

To block a contact:
