Many guitarists secretly harbour the desire to learn how to build a guitar. There is just something incredibly seductive about the thought of working with beautiful wood and turning it into a gorgeous guitar. At the same time though, the thought of learning how to build a guitar, probably fills most of us with a sense of fear. How could I possibly create a guitar that would actually be playable? If you are serious about learning how to build your own guitar then you have two options. The first one is to study and then build your guitar from scratch.

The other option is to use a guitar kit. However, it would not be a bad idea to do a bit of studying even if you are going to use a kit.

If you are going to use a kit you should look around a bit and find a kit that meets your needs. first of all, determine what kind of guitar you want to build. And finally, you may find that there is a guitar-building workshop being held in your area. Although these are usually quite expensive, it is a great way to learn and you can pretty much be guaranteed that you will have an excellent guitar when you are finished.
