How to Build a Profitable List of MLM Leads
60One of the most important things to do to ensure a successful internet network marketing business is to build a list of MLM leads. The point of this article is to outline an online strategy to accomplish that. This outline will include identifying your target market, creating a capture page, using an auto-responder, and developing a website.
Identify Your Target Market
The first thing you should do is determine who you want on your list. Who is your target market? Are you trying to attract those people who are presently in network marketing? Or are you targeting those who have been in network marketing before, dropped out, and are considering a return? Or maybe your target market includes those people looking to learn more about fishing or possibly golf.
After you have determined the audience you want to attract, your entire marketing campaign should consistently address those people. You may have more than one target market but should have a separate marketing campaign for each.
If your target market is beginning golfers, your marketing (through pay per click advertising, writing articles, audios, videos, emails, etc.) should not address a general audience. Instead it should focus on beginning golfers only. If you address a general audience, few of those people have an interest in golf.
That is why buying a general list of leads doesn’t work since the leads are not targeted. You should always use marketing methods that generate your own leads. If you are marketing to beginning golfers and are using article writing to attract those people, your articles should create sufficient interest to make the reader take the next step.
Next, You Need to Create a Squeeze Page or Capture Page
The “capture” page does exactly what it says. It captures a person’s contact information – generally his name, email address, and sometimes a telephone number. By obtaining this information, you can now communicate with your lead on an on-going basis.
I have found that offering valuable information for free gives a person an incentive to “opt in” or, in other words, submit their contact information. This can be in the form of an eBook, a special report, a newsletter, an audio, or video.
The capture page should have at least one headline. It should also display a list of bullet points that highlight the benefits of opting in to your website, or obtaining an eBook, special report, etc. I have found it best to not provide too much direct information about my free product.
The form for opting in should be near the top of the page or “above the fold.” The page can also include an audio, a video, and testimonials. But it is best to keep your capture page simple with little clutter.
Again, if you are targeting beginning golfers, your capture page should address only that audience. Your free offer should be of real interest to a beginning golfer. If your capture page addresses beginning golfers, but your free offer is only of interest to professional golfers, your marketing campaign will most likely fail.
When your lead opts in, they will be taken to your website. There they should be provided very clear information on obtaining their free offer. Many times they will be told that their free offer has been emailed to them at the address they provided.
It is Critical That You Use an Auto-responder
The auto-responder will collect your lead’s contact information.
You must then start building a relationship with your lead. This is done by your auto-responder which sends out email messages on a predetermined basis. These are emails that you have written that provide useful information to your target market.
If you are targeting beginning golfers, these emails can offer them useful tips on improving their golf score. These emails should be written in a personal way as though you are sitting across the table from them having a conversation. They should be informal and relaxed and never stiff and formal.
You should not go through the motions here just to add another email to your auto-responder list. You want your lead to look forward to your emails and be excited about reading them.
If your emails are of little value, your lead will stop reading them. Your chance of building a relationship with your lead has ended.
Develop a Website
Your website should be of interest to the beginning golfer. Developing a website will be the subject of a future article. But in general, it should provide value to the reader.
As you continue to build a relationship of trust and respect with your lead, you offer them affiliate products of value to them. This is all about how to generate free MLM leads that pay you.
Eventually you will be able to offer your prospect information about your business opportunity. Many times your prospect will decide to come into your business without you ever talking with them.
By following this general outline of steps, you can begin building a list of prospects. This list can be the most valuable asset in your business.
I wish you the very best.
