This Free Video Set Will Get You Started on Making a Business Website

A lot of people are interested in putting up their own website, and while it isn't hard there are a few things to keep in mind. There are a few more thing if you want to make some money with that web site.

I covered the basics on how to design a website and host it, and what I'm going to do here is cover some free videos that go into a closely related subject.

If you want to build up a website to make money, that is, build an online business, then these videos are for you. They'll take you through finding a niche to cover, writing a sales letter, creating a product, and so on. And it's going to be done in four days.

The four videos are free, but you will need to enter you email address to get them. I did and and I've watched the first two, as of this writing, and I think they're pretty valuable.

Note that the videos are introducing a product that isn't free, and there's a big marketing tip right there, but there's still a lot of good info to be had, especially in finding whatever niche you're going to cover.

So here's what's doin':

The Derek Gehl Challenge

Derek Gehl runs a company called the Internet Marketing Center. He and his group have been around for many years, they have created many products, and they make a ton of money. This leads me to believe that they have something to teach the rest of us about that subject.

So naturally the skeptical types will say something like, "Sure Derek, YOU can do it, with all your resources and secret tricks and what all, but they rest of us can't..." and one of them actually challenged Gehl to put up or shut up. That is, to build a money making site in under a week.

He took the challenge and that's what the videos are about. Derek Gehl is going to build a money making site in four days, or bust, and he's going to put it on video.

Now, he's going to use his BeBiz software to help him get the job done, but the steps are pretty much the same whether or not you use the software. It'll just take more work and more time.

Finding the Niche. video 1

So you go to the site and sign up and you'll get an email with a link to the first video. The other video links will arrive later.

Oh, by the way, I've bought some of DG's products over the years. His company does not send out a lot of emails. Don't worry about getting deluged with email once you sign up.

Anyway, video #1 is about finding your niche. He does provide a homework assignment that you'll want to get done before you can make good use of this video. The homework is an idea generator which will give you some idea of where to look for your niche.

What we want to find, and what the video covers nicely, is a niche that has a lot of people looking to answer certain questions, but that doesn't have a lot of competition. Questions along the lines of "how to do..." "How to fix..." etc.

Interestingly, DG actually finds that his first three choices are flops. Flops in that cracking the market would take more work than he's willing to do at this time.

Here's more on Video #1.

Video #2: Writing the Salesletter

Probably the best way to sell certain products on the web is with a salesletter. usually a long one. Scoffers scoff at the idea of salesletters, but they aren't buying anything anyway. The scoffing scoffer scoffed, but he isn't buying anyway, so we don't care.

So video 2 is all about deciding what product you'll create, and then building a salesletter for that product.

Note that he hasn't created the product first. He writes the salesletter first.

Here's some more on video #2

The Rest of the Videos

I'll post some notes about videos 3 and 4 in this space in a couple of days.

Just to reitterate: If you want to build an online business then I think these videos are well worth looking at, whether or not you want the software. I happen to think that this particular software system will be a huge time and agony saver though.

Here's where you need to go if you want to see them for yourself.

Good luck!
