According to their website, the Entertainment Consumers Association (ECA) is a 501(c)(4) non-profit membership organization. It was established to serve the needs of computer and video games players. The ECA was formed in 2006 and is an advocacy organization for consumers of interactive entertainment.

This nonprofit organization charges a membership fee of $19.99. The fee for education (.edu) or military (.mil) subscribers is $14.99. With the membership, it's possible to buy gaming software at a discount.
