What is Man Machine?

Man Machine is a serial novel by Australian author Max Barry.  Barry came up with the idea of writing a novel in semi-real time and releasing a page a day via his web site.  You can sign up for free to receive the first 43 pages either by the web, by e-mail or by RSS feed.  Once you receive page 43 in your own time, you can opt to pay $6.95 to receive the rest of the pages until the novel is finished.

How to buy Man Machine

You can register an account right away to get access to the first 43 pages of Man Machine without buying it outright.  Once you hit page 43, you will have to pay.  You can do so via www.maxbarry.com, click on the Man Machine link and then click Buy It.  You will need a PayPal account, so if you do not have one you will have to sign up for once.  You can use credit cards – such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express – linked to your PayPal account to make the purchase.  Once it goes through, you will be able to get additional pages up to what Barry has actually written to that day.  Barry promises at least 120 pages, but he is shooting for the 200 page mark for the novel.  As long as he is writing  page, and you have paid, you will get one a day delivered the way you want it.


What happens when Man Machine is published in book format?
