After seeing that many people who demand and buy a notebook, I tried to make a guide to help you buy the laptop that best fits your profile and not to make a slip or buying something below or above their needs too. First, decide whether you need a laptop to travel, or is not so much and wants to spend more for a browse, see orkut, or if a laptop for games or to work with edition of videos, photos and audio.
"For those who travel or want something compact: The lightest notebooks are designed for people who travel a lot and need something ultra, discreet and lightweight. They usually have an inferior performance compared to heavier. That are highly portable notebook weighs less than 2kg and generally the size is 12 inches with a thickness of 5 inches. Usually they are more expensive and more appropriate is up to 2kg. Prices over $ 500.00.
"Who does not want to spend much: The most appropriate is a Celeron that you can find the tea for $ 400.00 in U.S.. The standard weight of it is 2.5 to 3.5 kg and average size between 14 to 15 inches.
"Games for Notebook: Who wants a laptop for games, perhaps a notebook with a Pentium 4 or Athlon 64 with a performance of 3.0ghz, and at least 1GB RAM and a 3D card, preferably with 256MB of video to turn the most games smoothly. Prices vary widely, an average legalaround U.S. $ 600.00.
"For those working with Photos, Audio and Video: Find one with at least 512mb ram and a 2.0ghz processor with performance and recommend one or more of 80GB hd. Make sure it has USB port, it will be very useful for transferring data, pictures, etc.. If it is to work with films, do not forget to check if it comes with a DVD drive or DVD recorder of choice. Average price U.S. $ 400.00.
Case:
Celeron: It speeds up to 2.5ghz, but the performance is very slow compared to other Pentiums. Indicated for those who do not work with something that requires much of your machine.
Celeron-M: It speeds up to 1.5GHz, most recommended for those who read email, browse the net, and uses the basic functions. For those who will not use your laptop to exaggerated things is a great recommendation.
Pentium-M: Performance above the Celeron have integrated Wi-Fi.
Pentium 4: speed up to 3.3ghz, done more for desktop, but it is a great processor for those who require a lot.
AMD Athlon 64: Great choice for those who love games, with the 64bit computing.
Mobile AMD Athlon 64: Comes with a wireless technology and is compared to Pentium-M models
Dual Core or Core 2 Duo: best processor at the time, multiprocessing excellent place for those who want a laptop but bold.
'HD: If you only want to store programs and documents and some photos need 20 to 40gb.But if you want to save many large files, videos, high resolution photos, movies, thousands of MP3, the most recommended one is the 80GB hd.
"RAM: Minimum to run Windows XP and 128MB ram, 256mb ram for those who do not use many programs like photoshop, flash, is a good size. I recommend that 512mb ram, to work with tranquility.
'Doors: Make sure the notebook is capable of connecting all the devices you need, as Pendrive, data cable for cell phones, cameras, etc ...
'Wireless: Most laptops are coming with Wi-fi, but it costs nothing to check. If you need an internet connect elsewhere.
"Screen: The default is a screen of 14 inches, less for those who travel a lot and want a notebook or lighter. Now for games nothing better than a big screen, right?
"Graphics Card: A graphics card processes video, freeing up memory (RAM) and other tasks of the system. Very necessary for those working with video or Games.
I hope I have helped you to learn more how your notebook should have to meet their needs.
