By Baby Crib Bedding

We all know babies wet themselves. You cannot be angry with them for this! In fact it is quite an adorable situation to be in; only if you know how to handle it. Most parents don’t think of how to change baby bedding from before. Therefore, when they ultimately face the situation it is at ungodly hours such as the middle of the night or while rushing out of the house for work.

You need to plan your baby bedding to save yourself the agony of cleaning and rearranging it while the little one screeches away and you remain thoroughly sleep deprived!

Use two Main Crib Mattresses

  1. There should be a main mattress right on the floor of the crib. This should be the foam or innerspring mattress that provides maximum comfort to your baby while it plays around or sleeps in it.
  2. Above this mattress you should have a waterproof mattress so that in case your baby wets itself in the middle of the night the main mattress at the bottom will be saved.

Have a Flannel Sheet above the Mattress

A flannel sheet is a thin layer between the baby’s bedding sheets and the waterproof mattress. Although they are thin layers they have high absorption power. Therefore, in case your baby wets itself you don’t have to worry about the layers underneath getting soaked as well.

In case of wetting in the middle of the night all you need to do is throw away the flannel layer and replace it with another spare one. You can always use the other one again after washing.

  • Set each Layer of the Bedding Firmly into the Crib

This is the most important bit of your effort. Although creating a multi layered baby bedding will reduce your work to a bear minimum as you keep removing each layer every time you baby wets itself, there is the question of setting them up firmly enough so that the little one can move around without feeling uncomfortable.

Therefore, you should tuck in every layer firmly before placing the next one on top. While pulling off one layer in case of wetting, do it carefully so as to not disturb the layers underneath.
