How to Change Gmail English Version to Other Languages
81
Gmail adds new features almost daily but this new feature many would love to have, since English is not the only language spoken by many.
Gmail initially was available in English only and that too for US English only later it added UK English version. Now it is available in the following 39 languages:
Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Simplified Chinese, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Ukrainian, or Vietnamese.
How to view Gmail in other languages?
Just follow these simple steps:
1.) Log in to your Gmail account.
2.) Click Settings at the top of the Gmail page.
3.) Select a language from the Gmail display language: drop-down menu in the Language: section.
4.) Click Save Changes.
Your account now will reflect the language change. So you will see all the main headers in the local language you have selected. The pictures below demonstrate these above steps, I have chosen Hindi language interface for demonstration.
Though the language has changed all the messages you received will be in the same language you received them before. There won’t be any changes there.
Google says all the features that are available in the US’ Gmail version may not show up in these languages, but eventually all the features will show up soon.
So, test it out in your own language and leave a comment here, how do you like the language version compared to the English version.
