Microsoft Office 2007 gives you the option to change its theme.  While normally software mirrors your operating system theme, more customizations are available with newer software that gives you the opportunity to make it more your own.  If you do not know how to change the theme in Microsoft Office, you are not alone.  The feature itself is hidden within the options and you might miss it if you are not looking close enough.

When you first install and use Microsoft Office 2007, it uses a standard blue color scheme. There are two additional colors that you can use: Black and silver. Depending on what operating system theme you use, one or more of these color schemes might clash with that theme. By checking out each theme, seeing how it looks and how it jives with the rest of your operating system is key to picking the right one.

In order to change the theme in Microsoft Office, you want to click on the Microsoft Office logo in the top left and click on the Word Options button on the bottom of the menu. Under the Popular tab, you want to look for Scheme, click on the color you prefer from the drop down menu and then click Okay. From there, the theme will change throughout every program in the Microsoft Office 2007 suite.

By changing the theme to Microsoft Office 2007, you are making it your own.  While a lot of people fail to see the point in customizing their computer, by doing so you are taking control of your software and your computer.  Every computer comes preset up and most users just leave it like that.  But your computer can do so much more, why not take a chance and change your operating system or your Microsoft Office 2007 theme today?  You might just find you like the new scheme.
