What are the best mp3 players in the market and how do you know what mp3 player is the perfect fit for you? The mp3 player market is continually expanding, as more and more people can carry a part of their personality and being with them, music. There is an mp3 out there that fits you better than the rest would. Finding it is a matter of identifying traits that you want in areas like price, mp4 ability, memory storage, gaming options, and product maker.

Price is probably a pretty important factor to you, when choosing an mp3 player to buy.  For current pricings, I'd advice doing ones own research or referring to the amazon links on this page, as they are accurate.  If price isn't a factor for you, consider yourself lucky.  Anyways, compare and contrast compatible brands (by compatible I mean meeting the same standards such as memory storage size, the things you can do on each, etc.).  Mp3 players are probably a big enough investment for you that you want to get one that fits you best at a good price so don't feel like a loser looking around for the best deal.

Many mp3 players out there have been the stepping stone for mp4 players, meaning video capacity is possible.  Mp4 players can hold movies, televion shows, basically anything on them.  It is a good thing to keep in mind if you think that investing in more then just a mp3 player would be more of your thing.  I have had some experience with mp4 players, from the top and bottom end of the market, and I'd have to say that going with a better known brand is usually what is best to do.  I had purchased an uncommon brand name and I ended up having to chase down programs on the internet that convert videos over into a certain format for playback-ability.  Anyways, there are many different styles and capabilities of mp3 and mp4 players, I recommend thinking about what you really want your's to be able to do.

Next, one of the biggest factors that determine the price of mp3 players, the storage capacity.  As memory storage goes up (generally from 1g to 2g to 4g, 6. 10, 20, 50, 80, 120, and 240.  Videos on mp4 take up a lot of space, usually, so unless you plan on loading a ton of music onto an mp3 player, 4 to 8gs should do the trick.  It can be a pain to have a one or two g mp3 player because you end up listening to the same songs over and over again, whereas having more memory means less time loading songs onto the mp3 player and, generally, a bit more enjoyment overall.

Believe it or not, the gaming options available on mp3 players can make the difference between you choosing to buy a certain mp3 player over another.  My Ipod has several minigames automatically loaded onto it, which come in handy during long buss rides or boring events.  Games generally can be played simultaneously with music playing at the same time.  It really is a nice add on to mp3 players and I'd advise you to take a look at what each mp3 player is capable of, if possible.

The brand that an mp3 player is definately can be crucial.  Like I said earlier, I ended up paying money for an mp3 player that broke quickly, uninsured.  It wasn't one of the big name brands.  My experience with the big name brands has always been good so far, only hearing of relatively few complaints about the common ones, as one of my friends dropped his Zune into the toilet by accident.  The top 6 list, listed below contain a lot of the top brand names in the mp3 business, for a heads up.

After conducting research, I've found that the currently most popular mp3 players rank as follows:  1. Apple Ipod Nano  2,  SanDisk Sanza Fuse  3.  Creative Zen  4.  Apple Ipod Classic  5.  Microsoft Zune  6.  SanDisc Sansa Clip.  Although these currently top the charts off for mp3 players, if you've discovered one that  better suites you and your needs, don't feel obligated to get one of these instead!

Basically, things to watch for when trying to find the mp3 or mp4 player that will work best for you include price, mp4 capabilities,  memory storage amount, gaming options, and the product maker.  I wish you the best of luck in finding your sale mp3 mate, or whatever you wish to call it.

Excellent hub. Your explanation of how to chose the right mp3 player is very useful. I already have a Zune 80gb; however, if I ever chose to upgrade I'll refer back to this hub for some good information.

Thank you OceanZealot. It sounds like you'll be set for awhile, with 80gbs of space and Zunes are always a good brand to go with.
