I remember as a child about ten years old,

I collected pennies, and it so happen

My Grandmother own a little shop, l always used to find old rusty pennies under the counter tops, so instead of sweeping them away, l collect them, and one day silly me,

left them out in the rain, and the rain water, turn most of them green and rusty,

So my Grandmother, told me how to clean them, without damaging the copper,

Method,

2 - three limes ,

squeeze juice of the lime into a bowl

Add salt to the lime juice

add water to mixture,

A piece of cheese cloth material,

Something similar to babies cloth diapers,

Place your rusty pennies in the bowl with the liquid, and soak them but.

Not to exceed more that ten minutes , else the copper will comes off too fast,

and it will spoil the beauty of your pennies,

Have a bucket of clean water near by, to drop your pennies into as soon as possible,

In the this way, the cleaning process, will immediately stop.

Dry them off in the Cheese cloth material and rub them until they shine, in a small amount

of kerosene oil, ( a small amount)

The pennies will look brand new in a matter of minutes.

Good luck, it also goes for copper bottom pots and pans, and copper material.

My Grandmother home cleaning method without any harsh cleaning chemical.
