How to Clear Acne
I've tried many different acne treatment methods over the years. I get flare-ups from time-to-time, and they can be pretty stubborn.
Many of these methods work for a while, but the acne always seems to come back a few months later. Still, they can be helpful for short-term acne relief.
Tea Tree Oil Acne Treatment
Tea tree oil is a potent anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial agent. It is generally diluted into aloe vera gel, then applied to the face. The ratio is usually one or two drops of tea tree oil in one ounce of aloe vera gel. This mixture is then applied to the face and left on overnight.
The problem with tea tree oil is that it can't clear up acne completely, because all it does it kill the bacteria in the pores. This helps reduce inflammation, but it doesn't make it go away entirely. The dirt and oil inside the pores will still be there.
Also, many people are senisitve to tea tree oil, so it's best to test the mixture on a small patch of skin before you use it over your whole face. NEVER use undiluted tea tree oil on the skin. It's very strong and can cause burns if not diluted!
Overall, tea tree oil helps, but it won't get rid of acne completely.
Apple Cider Vinegar Acne Treatment
Vinegar is often used as an acne treatment. It is applied to the skin with a cotton ball and left on for a few hours.
Vinegar is a good natural cleanser. Apple cider vinegar is especially helpful for clearing out blackheads. Unfortunately, it can't clean from the inside, so pores that are already clogged to the point of being swelled can't really be affected very well.
Acne Creams
Acne creams don't generally work very well, because they dry out the skin. This might seem like a good think, since dirt and oil combine to cause acne. But when you use products that dry the skin too much, the skin overcompensates by producing MORE oil! These creams can often make acne worse.
Acne Medications
There are several medications that are often prescribed for acne. Most of these medications have side effects that make them no safe for general use.
Spironolactone acne medication has an effect on hormone levels. It shouldn't be used as a general acne medication, because of these hormonal effects. It should only be used under direct medical supervision.
Cycline drugs are also prescribed for acne. These are antibiotics that help kill the bacteria in the pores. These can be effective, but they can also cause all sorts of stomach problems.
Acne Free in 3 Days: Review
Acne Free in 3 Days is a product that's been featured on many television news programs across the country, and it's been widely advertised as a "miracle cure".
I'm really skeptical of these products that claim to be so miraculous, because they're usually jun. But I still wanted to give this one a chance.
I've never had really terrible acne, but I have struggled with relatively serious breakouts off and on since I was 13. My mother had terrible acne when she was in her early teens. It cleared up when she was in her 20s, but it left her with scarring.
Whenever my acne flares up, it's always very disturbing to me. Although I never have perfect skin, it's very painful when the breakouts come, because it seems like no amount of makeup can ever truly cover it. It makes me want to hide. I don't want to leave the house, I just want to hide in the dark and not let anyone see me.
I've tried at least 20 different creams and medicated pads, but nothing ever seems to work for me. I was talking about this with a friend of mine, and she said she'd bought this product online that helped her get rid of her acne in less than a week.
Like I said, I'm pretty skeptical. Even with a personal recommendation from a friend, I was worried that it would be the same old junk. But since there was a 60 days monty back guarantee, I decided to take a chance.
My skepticism alarms went off a lot after I purchased and I found out it was a single PDF file. It was just text. That always seems to signal trouble for me. I'm not sure why, but I have always felt like eBooks (electronic books) were junk, and most of them seem to be.
The first 20+ pages were just talking about how the author, Chris Gibson, had struggled with acne for a long time. Basically, it was just an autobiography. I was getting pretty irritated by this point.
Then finally after reading over 20 pages, I got the "secret" cure. (I can't give it away here, because that wouldn't be fair to the author.) But it was so simple it was shocking. "OMG, I paid that much money for THIS!" I was thinking.
Still, my friend said it worked for her, so I decided to give it a try. I followed the plan exactly as it said to, and sure enough, in less than one week I had almost no acne at all. I had a couple of stubborn blackheads left, but within another few days, those were gone, too.
So, my opinion about the product? It's long-winded and a bit dull to read, but it WORKS. And that's what mattered to me!

Thanks for your comments! Apples and water are highly recommended for acne, for sure! They help draw toxins out of the body, including the skin. :)
what will i do to clear my acne
James, thanks for stopping by. I recommend eating plenty of fresh, raw apples and drinking a lot of high-quality drinking water. You need to start drawing toxins out of your skin. Most acne is caused by a build-up of dirt, oil, and toxins underneath the skin, so detoxifying will help your skin start to release all of those toxins that are binding together the dirt and oil.
You might want to visit a dermatologist just to determine what type of acne you have. Once you know what type of acne it is, you'll know a bit more about how to treat your specific type.

Amy, very useful hub! I've also found out that a lot of sport and natural sweating with shower immediate afterwards did a very good job for me, considering acne. My mother also advised me to eat at least 3 fresh apples per day and to drink more plain tap water.
