This hub will discuss five methods to deal with anger right now.

1. Breathe it Out

Before acting out of anger, stop and take 10 deep breaths. Breathe in for five seconds and breathe out for five seconds. Do this 10 times.

2. Talk it Out

Figure out what the cause of the anger is and talk to a friend about it and the main issues that this anger is causing. If it is practical -- talk to the person who is causing the anger and explain to them what triggered this anger -- what the main issues are for You and what Their Perspective is.

3. Punch it Out

Get a punching bag or a pillow and let the anger out. Make sure to do this in a private space where no one else is around to avoid accidents or knocking over furniture. Secure a punching bag or a pillow in a specific room where it is safe to go to let this anger out.

4. Let It Out

Focus on breathing and imagine what this anger looks like, feels like, and the kind of texture it has. Now imagine this shape of anger becoming smaller. You started off holding on to it and attempting to use it but now have let go of it and allowed it to be free So That You Can Be Free.

5. See it for what it is

Pause for a moment and consider how other people are perceiving this expression of anger. If the anger is directed at a particular person consider their own experience and whether there was something more or could have been something else that made that person unaware of their own actions being damaging. Let go of being right and attempt to see it from other people's perspective for a moment.

Have You Experienced Long-Term Anger?

The solutions in this article are great starting points for calming and controlling anger right now. But remember, the source of anger can be from deep inner pain from long ago, perhaps as far back as childhood. If those deeper issues are not remedied then these five solutions might not be worth more than short-term remedies.

There are 3 powerful methods to deal with long-term repressed anger. Counseling, Meditation, and Hypnosis. Hypnosis is the most popular and fasting-acting for most people. Consulting a professional hypnotist or looking into hypnotic CD-based sessions can be an effective means to find and heal deeper sources of anger.
