How to Create a Contact Form Using Google Docs
68The Need for a Contact Form
Do you have a business website? Do you feel the need to be contacted? Unless you aren't serious about doing the business, you need to be contacted. That's where contact forms come in.
The contact form we will be building is a basic web form that have fields like, 'name', 'email' 'address', 'subject' and a 'message box'. This seems very simple to some, but a lot of people don't know how to do this. One week ago, I also didn't know how.
Creating an Account
It is fairly obvious that you should have a Google Account to create this. And if you don't one yet, you should create one now.
Once you've created your account, go straight to the accounts page and click on 'Docs'
Once you're inside, you will be greeted by your dashboard wherein your old documents should be; Or a blank dashboard where your future documents will be - assuming that you just created your account.
Form Creation
The next step would be to create a new form. Click on "Create New", click on "Form" and you'll soon be redirected to something similar to the image on the left (Click to see a larger image)
This is probably the easiest. Modify the template as you see fit. Here's an template. Once you are done, Press done and you are.... DONE!
Nah! You're not done yet. But soon enough. Below the form after you have modified the template and see that it fits your needs press, More Actions and choose Embed. A pop up window will appear with a very cryptic code :)
This will be the code you attach to your web page. and hwalla... you have your own web form.
So, here comes the obvious question. How do we see who contacted us. Easy. Go back to your Google Docs dashboard. See the new Google Docs spreadsheet? Click on it and you will be greeted with a fully documented list of all who may have contacted you (of course, until you use the form the spreadsheet will be empty except for column headers)
I really really hope this could be useful to someone other than myself. I also hope to get tons of feedbacks on this. Thanks all for reading.

Is there any way to keep users on the same page after hitting the submit button?
If they can stay on the same page and see a pop up that confirms confirmation, that'd be great. what do you think?
