Some of these symptoms include rapid heart beat, shortness of breath, hyperventilation stomach cramping, chest pain, headaches, nausea, stomach cramping, trembling, shortness of breath, tightness in your trouble swallowing, a sense of dread and dying. You may have a few or more of these symptoms, which can begin suddenly, and last from 10 minutes to an hour.
The worst fear is that you may have another attack and you would not want to leave your house. You have frequent attacks and you want to avoid whatever triggers the attack so you don't leave your house. This is called agoraphobia because this is where you feel the safest place to be is home. If these attacks are left untreated it could become so severe that it could result into panic disorder and complications may occur.
If you think you are having an attack talk to your doctor and suggestions will be recommended. You can cure panic attacks by learning to cope with your anxiety triggers. Medication such as Paxil or Prozac might be offered for your anxiety. Counseling might be offered to talk about what might trigger your attacks.
