Stay in Touch with Family and Friends on MySpace

Everyone is doing some type of online social networking nowadays. There are many options out there if you are new to this kind of thing such as; MySpace, Twitter, Facebook, and many more. I am going to teach you how to design a MySpace page.

My space is a great way to stay in touch with family and friends. You can look share photos, and communicate through this site. There are many people that do not know too much about computers. However, I will teach you the MySpace basics and how to design your MySpace page.

Setting up a MySpace Account

The first thing you will need to create a MySpace account is a computer with an internet connection. Then, follow the next steps:

• Type in MySpace in your search bar.
• Open up the MySpace link on the screen
• Click on the sign up button
• Fill out the information that is asked of you. Make sure that you provide a valid email address. At the end, be sure to read and click I agree to the terms of service and privacy policy
• After you have filled in all of your information, click sign up.
• You will be asked to confirm your identity. Do this in this step.
• Now you can upload a photo. The photo can be of yourself or of an image you would like for it to be. You can click browse to pull a photo stored on your computer.
• Next, you can invite your friends by email to MySpace to let them know that you have joined.
• Finally, you will receive an email to verify that you did set up the account. There will be a link in the email for you to click.
• After you click the link, you just sign in with the information you gave during the sign up.
• Now you are ready to design your page.

 Now that you have your account set up, you are ready to set up the design of your page. Follow the next steps to accomplish this:

• Choose the layout that best fits your style. You can pick the colors, cartoons, or whatever you want for your layout
• Add some more pictures. You can add pictures of family and friends, and also add more pictures of yourself. This is where you want to add what you want to share with others about your life. You upload the pictures from your computer. You can also create a slideshow with the pictures.
• Add your personal touches. You can put in inspirational quotes and tell about yourself in this section. You can tell about things you like such as; books, movies, music, favorite movie, and much more.
• Add some tunes to your page. You can upload them from your computer or create a free account with PlayList and add songs from this website to your page.
• You can add quizzes or all kinds of little gadgets at this point. You should now have a great looking MySpace page.
