If you've ever tried to find the Technorati Favorite button to install on your blog, you may have been hard-pressed.
It can be hard going trying to find the actual Technorati Favorite buttons because many users, upon visiting Technorati, try to locate them under Widgets.
Today's HubPage is a step-by-step tutorial so that you can painlessly find and install the Technorati Favorite button on your blog.
Go to the Technorati site and make sure you sign in before proceeding. This article targets users who have already claimed their blogs at Technorati.
How to Find the Technorati Favorite Button
- Locate Blogger Central, the seventh tab over
- Select Widgets
- Under the orange heading, Technorati Widgets, look over to the far right until you see Misc. Click on that.
- Under Miscellaneous Tools, you'll see Favoriting
- Underneath that rests the green-colored Favorite Buttons, which Technorati members can use to favorite your blog
- When you click on the green Favorite Buttons, you are taken to a page that allows you to choose from three types of Favorite buttons
Above the buttons, you will see: "Make a custom button for." Next to that one of your blog's titles will appear in a box. Use the drop-down arrow to select the blog you want to install the Technorati Favorite button on. This step is important because your blog's URL is then added to the button code.
Run your mouse over the code and tap on it so that the code becomes highlighted. Right-click and press copy.
Paste the code into your blog's sidebar using your HTML function. Save any changes.
Your Technorati Favorite button should now show on your blog.

Now that technorati changes so much, I'm completely lost
Yes, it is not an easy site to use overall. I spent an hour trying to actually find the button.

Thanks so much. I had a manual one that I had put on following someone else's tutorial (some other blog post I found.) I have had it there for a while and wanted to try it (favorite my own blog.) It didn't work. So it was useful to follow your advice and actually get the thing working. I was wandering why I had doubled my readers and didn't get anyone adding it as a favorite on Technorati. Thanks so much!
