Bookmarking Demon is a software that allows you to automatically create accounts at the top 20 bookmarking sites automatically. It also allows you to create accounts automatically at scuttle sites too. I'll talk more about scuttle in a minute.

First of all why get links? If you are a total noob you might be wondering about this. If you've been around for a while bare with me for a minute while I catch the noobs up.

Links are King

A link to your site is like a vote for your site in googles eyes. It's the most important thing we do as online businessmen is to get lots of links. The more links you have then the higher you rank in the results. The higher you rank the more traffic you get. The more traffic you get the more money you make.

Links really are king. Suppose you have two web sites and you post an article on one site and then a few months later you post the same article on another site. This is called duplicate content and google penalizes you for it but giving you a lower ranking. Can you ever get that second site to rank higher than the first? I'm talking about the page with that duplicate article....will it EVER rank higher than the first? It could....if you get lots of links to it.

OK got your coffee? Good lets go on a bit. Let me start by saying that people's expectations about making money online are way out of control. Most noobs think they are going to build one huge site and make a killing after they read this ebook or that ebook. WRONG!!!

You aren't going to make any money for a whle. Sorry, it's true. There's so much to learn about seo and marketing. All the pros are already dominating all of the big money niches and besides, it's way too hard for a noob to rank on page one for a highly competitive term. So whats the answer? Aim lower.

Wha's a Realistic Goal for a Noob?

A realistic model for beginners (and more advanced IM's) is to try to make a buck a day from a site. Then build hundreds of them. Why is this easier? Well if you target keywords with low search volume and little competition your chances of ranking on page one increase dramatically. Yet because of the low search volume you can't expect to make a killing. A buck a day is great!

Sites that you can build and promote just once and then just leave it alone to earn a passive income. Maybe a little promotion here and there but mainly just one big push in the beginning is all it takes. I'm talking about BANS sites (those are ebay stores created in under ten minutes with BANS software). Or perhaps a number of blogs. I'm NOT talking about spam. Just not a flagship blog....lets call them "not spam but not so great blogs."

What's your point man?

So my point is that if you have lots of sites how are you supposed to get links to them all? It would take forever to get them all linked to the high heavens. This is where bookmarking demon comes into play.

Gimme Some Numbers to Think About!

Imagine that you tag each of your urls that you bookmark like 5 times and your urls are successfully submitted to 50 sites. You have set bookmarking demon to bookmark automatically say, 20 of your urls. Lets do some math...20 urls with 5 tags each...that's 100 links. Multiply that times 50 sites....that's 5000 links. They will take a while to get counted so you wont see the results right away and someitmes it takes months for all of your links to get counted.

Can you get your site banned like this?

Well I never have but you could get your urls banned from the bookmarking sites. Google doesn't care but Digg and Simpy will. You need to hide you links when you bookmark at the REAL social bookmarking site.

How do you hide your links?

Simple. Bookmark other generic sites along with yours. For example, for every url you submit of your own, submit 4 or 5 generic urls. This will help you not to get found out.

What are scuttle sites?

Scuttle sites are like little social bookmarking sites. Scuttle is a script that creates "scuttle sites". They became popular a few years ago and lots of people thought they were going to be the next Digg or Stumble. There are thousands of scuttle sites out there waiting for you to bookmark your urls.

Some scuttle sites dont even have an admin panel so you don't even have to hide your links!!! Just bookmark away!! This is called a scuttle run.

Do you get tons of traffic from the social bookmarking sites?

No. You get links!! All the folks at these sites are internet savvy anyways and they don't click ads. They like to read real content...not click ads which is what gets us paid. We want clickers not readers. I'm talking about people who want to MAKE MONEY not folks who just enjoy blogging and writing. Money. Clicks. Links. They all go together.

Would you use Bookmarking Demon to pomote a clients site?

Not directly. Why? Because you never know. If you set off some kind of flag and screw up one of your own sites oh well, DON'T BE GREEDY!!

But if you mess up a clients site you might get sued....who knows. This is how I use Bookmarking Demon to promote a clients site. I will create some blogspot blogs, wordpress blogs, squidoo lens's and hub pages and link them to the clients site. I will use BMD on these sites only. This way you don't directly use BMD on your clients site but you can build up juice on the back end.

What else?

Use BMD to bookmark your articles that you submit to GO Aticles or Ezine Articles. Drive some traffic to your articles and people will download them. This will spread your links out. Way out!
